Family Program
Our family therapy program creates a space for healing, understanding, and rebuilding connections in recovery.
Helping families heal from mental health disorders and addiction
Our treatment approach is built around a singular goal: to provide individualized, compassionate care that helps each of our clients recover what matters most to them. No matter where you are in your recovery journey, we will help you find your path forward.

Our Goals
- Transform denial into awareness and understanding.
- Release the need for control and focus on the process.
- Communicate with compassion, free from judgment or anger.
- Establish and maintain healthy boundaries, using leverage effectively.
- Recognize the stages of change and identify relapse triggers.
- Access ongoing support for lasting recovery.
- Heal and strengthen relationships for a healthier future.
The impact of family support on the recovery process
Mental health disorders and addiction affect more than just the individual — they also impact their loved ones. In family recovery, we guide those in treatment and their support network to work together to navigate the challenges and effects of the disorder(s).
Research highlights the importance of involving the entire family system in the treatment and recovery process. Team-based approaches, such as strategic family therapy, offer the greatest chance of success as recovery thrives within supportive communities.

Our Findings
- When families are involved in treatment, individuals are more likely to stay engaged, leading to better outcomes.
- A strong social support system (versus isolation) during treatment improves recovery success, even for those not directly receiving treatment.
- Mental health disorders and addiction harm relationships, making it essential to involve loved ones in the healing process.
- Family participation enhances everyone’s overall well-being, including a reduction in stress and anxiety levels.
- Involvement strengthens family functioning, improving communication, connection, and resilience.
- Couples and parents often see improvements in their relationships and family dynamics even when not in direct treatment.

Virtual Support
The family recovery process can be challenging, but we are committed to supporting you every step of the way through in-person family counseling on weekends and a family support group via Zoom.
About Family Therapy
Family therapy for substance use and mental health disorders helps loved ones understand these conditions and their role in the recovery process. Recovery isn’t just a choice — it requires comprehensive treatment, including family therapy. When families gain this insight, they’re more likely to approach their loved one’s journey with patience and compassion.
A key element of family therapy is education on the genetic aspect of addiction and mental illness. Research shows that these disorders can run in families and that certain individuals are genetically predisposed to developing them. Understanding these risks can empower families to recognize early warning signs and take proactive steps to support long-term wellness.

Take the next step toward healing. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
